TAKEN ON OFFICIAL MYSPACE NEXT TO MY WIFE AND OUR SON,, MUSIC HAS ALWAYS BEEN AN INNER PART OF ME.SINCE I WAS AROUND THE AGE OF 10 OR SO I HAD FOUND THAT HARD ROCK, AND HEAVY METAL WERE MY TRUE PASSIONS!!! MY MOTHER HAD ME TRY PIANO AND ALTO SAX,BUT I REALLY DIDNT LIKE TO PLAY EITHER.THEN MY MOTHER GOT ME A GUITAR AND THAT WAS THE START OF IT ALL (THANKS MOM!,, MISS YOU) BY THE LATE 70s I HAD FORMED A DECENT BAND IN JR. HIGH SCHOOL,AND BY THE EARLY 80s I WAS IN A GREAT HIGH SCHOOL BAND CALLED "100 PROOF",, THAT LASTED A LITTLE OVER 4 YEARS. IN THE 80s TO MID 80s I WAS IN SOME REALLY GREAT COVER BANDS,INCLUDING "WRATHCHILD",ONE OF THE EARIEST "IRON MAIDEN TRIBUTES TO EXIST!!! ,WITH AN UNBELIEVABLE STAGE AND LIGHT SHOW. IN THE EARLY 90s I BEGAN WRITING AND ARRANGING SONGS WITH A GUITAR PLAYER NAMED "GREGG WOODS". I WENT ON TO START A RECORDING PROJECT CALLED "ANDY REISERT AND NATURAL DISASTER".WE RECORDED OUR FIRST CD on 1994-95, AND THE I HAD IT REMASTERED IN EARLY 1998.THE CD GOT SOME GREAT REVEIWS AND QUIT ALOT OF AIRPLAY IN NORWAY AND AUSTRALIA. THEN IN 1999/2000 WE RECORDED "ANDY REISERT and NATURAL DISASTERs" 2nd CD "TIME OF AGGRESSION",WHICH RECIEVED MANY MANY GREAT REVEIWS,(that can still be found on the internet Today),AND UPON ITS RELEASE IT WAS PLAYLISTED ON GREAT METAL RADIO SHOWS IN 29 COUNTRIES IN 2 WEEKS TIME!!! IN 2007 I AUDITIONED FOR A LEAD VOCALIST FOR AN INCREDIBLE JAPANESE GUITAR PLAYER NAMED "KOUICHI OGAWA" , FROM OSAKA,JAPAN. "KOUICHI" CHOSE ME TO WRITE AND SING 4 SONGS ON HIS FORTH COMING CD,WHICH ALSO FEATURES GUITAR GREATS "KHALED AL-KANDARI" AND "ROGER BLECK" ON A SONG CALLED "FARAWAY" 2 OF THE SONGS I RECORDED FOR "KOUICHI" WERE ORIGINALLY IN JAPANESE,,SO WITH THE HELP OF FREIND/SONG WRITER "BILL LENT", WE REWROTE THE SONGS IN ENGISH,STAYING AS CLOSE TO THE ORIGINAL MELODY AS POSSIBLE. ITS BEEN A FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE,AND YOU CAN ORDER THE CD "LONEBRAVE" ON KOUICHI OGAWA'S MYSPACE PAGE,AND YOU CAN BUY IT IN (DISC HEAVEN) IN OSAKA,JAPAN!!! ANDY 17TH of MARCH INFORMATIONS THAT GAVE ME ANDY : O.K. about thoses bands!:) Unfotunatly I dont have any Good recordings of thoses band,,Both bands where working "Cover Bands" with just a few originals,, But they were Id like to say very Good bands. "100 PROOF" was a High School band "Teenage Years)and after that went from 3 piece to 5 piece in a 4 year time frame. We won talent shows battle of bands,And Played Big parties on weekends and made out Well. 100 PROOF broke up sometime in 1981,,And Then I formed "WRATHCHILD" and played in late 1981-82.This Band was Very intence!! 5 piece band with members who were just in it for the Love of Metal and total Hell Raising!!!! :) And We Also Had the Greatest Road Crew In The World!,that made things so mush More Fun and Intence!!!
We were Very Loud but Clean,Very wild on stage,had a Huge stage show,Some of it custom Made,some of it left over from 100 proof,And We were not afraid to play anywhere for alot of Money or No Money at all:) We just had a Take On The World Attitude! And We did only about 12 shows because of the size of the stage show,And Money problems to take it on the road!
WRATHCHILD" Sounded like a Cross between Preist/Maiden/Motorhead, And We did get the name from Maiden because We did One of the FIRST IRON MAIDEN TRIBUTES Anywhere in the States!! After all Maiden only Had the 1st album,Killers And # of the Beast just came out that Year! We were playing Tunes off the No.# of the Beast album before it was released in the U.S.!!
In anycase there were recordings but lost in the Years! :) It was the Greatest,Funnest Time I had In My Music background! There are still a few people around the Area here who remember WRATHCHILD shows and remeber how Good And Wild We were!:)
We split up in early 83 due to having a manager come in and rip us off till We were penny less:( About 18 years ago the guy shot Himself.
