The big chill
Approximate translation of the review
Here are which is frankly not banal: a Swedish group which practises one Rock progressive instrumental with consonances Metal, completely inspired by the musics and environments of films of giallo. giallo ? It is about a typically Italian mixing horror, fantastic sub-genus, even police; most known of the realizers of giallo is Dario ARGENTO. Acknowledge how the equation is not banal! Who more is, it is one cannot more brilliant. The

pieces comprise different parts which are imbricated, are started again mutually, multiplying environments (glaucous or lighter) and which maintain a tension permanent. Thing which could make so well the great progressive groups like GENESIS, KING CRIMSON (of the whole beginning) or ELP.

arrangements of keyboards vintage (one speaks here about Mellotron, of Fender Rhodes, in short of the keyboards dating from the Seventies) install a general climate misty, turbid, shaken right through by an excellent rhythm section (low and battery very mobile). The play of guitar in turn corrosive and subtle of Daniel CANNERFELT illuminates all the album, so much it sails with brilliance in an environment where the keyboards are omnipresent.

And the absence of song, will you say to me? He well, the quality and the expressivity of the instrumentation are sufficed quite simply for themselves, the presence of song would have inevitably upset the miraculous balance of The Nightmare Becomes Reality.

ANIMA MORTE is posed as a brilliant successor of GOBLIN, Italian group of the Seventies and Eighties specialized in the film musics. Will also like this album the amateurs of Rock progressive traditional and bitten of Metal progressive. An excellent surprise, however morbid is it.

Tchuss
Comment by Alain : I confirm l' excellence of the publications on this label, with some exceptions loan.
