Let us profit, want you, of the reformation of VULCAIN and its explosive concert in Paris Saturday November 13 to return on some of its albums. Any slaughterer, any honor, let us start with the beginning withRock'N'Roll Secours.
VULCAIN, the illegitimate son of MOTORHEAD and Attila, god among the gods? The Parisian group - formed in 1982 by brothers Daniel and Vincent PUZIO(song/guitar and low), Didier LOHEZIC (guitar) and Franck VILATTE (battery) - fact already of running much ink, and trails already a reputation behind him: that to beMOTORHEAD French. Indeed, if it is a worthy album to pay a homage total to the English trio, they is well this furious Rock’N’Roll Secours which starts at the speed of sound. As of Ebony, VULCAIN met pendulums per hour: “first concerts, first galères” and, I have envy to add, first explosive album. The voice of Daniel PUZIO is rocky as that of its mentor Lemmy (even on scene he chooses an identical position of microphone…) his/her brother Vincent plays of low on one Rickenbaker, the four musicians carry rouflaquettes and tiagues. One likes and one assumes, seem to say. After all, if there do exist formations resembling ACDC (mm… the Swiss ones of KROKUS, for example?), why would it be badly seen to imitate others and to pay homage of them to them? All here feels the respect of the groins and the love of the rough and direct rock'n'roll, that it is about the title éponyme, of Vulcain, involuntarily naive the Le Fils de Lucifer or of the remainder, the quartet is direct and can be simply effective. Only two moments are less intense: the first enters legend VULCAIN, becoming the required passage of fence in each concert: the song salace La Digue Du Cul. The other is a song a little easier, less outstanding, Overdose, which however tarnished not the remainder of this disc which does not suffer, like much other, that of a its means, too choked, which always does not manage to propose “subtleties” of the quartet. But one heard worse, then… The only obligation of VULCAIN, the challenge ofVULCAIN, will be in the future to get rid of its image, also prestigious is it.
