John WAITE is a singer, English bass player that knew a strong success in the years 80' while playing the Rock-Fm /Aor!
For me, there remains associated to the album that I did more listen it in 1989, the masterpiece and first opus ofBAD ENGLISH !
It was at the start of his career the leader ofTHE BABYS and it recorded many albums solos since 1976!
Frontiers Recordshas gone out a live this year of the artist, a performance that remains rather average for my party!
But here the time for January 2011 of the go out of thisRough & Tumble.
An album of a big sincerity and honesty, that without bringing big thing again to the history of theRock to at least the deserve to be done me to pass a good moment.
John WAITEsings well, its song lines are fluid but the choirs are absent.
Except on the masterpiece of the album, this Evil that reminds me the better one of aChris REAfor example.
A title all in fineness and modernity that stroke the Rock , thePopand the Variety.
a lot of ballads punctuate the album, 5 altogether, which a little student anyway!
on the other hand, all are succeeded, of the bluesy Hanging Treein " bonus track" to the classics If You Ever Get Lonely, Skyward , Love's Goin' Out Of Style(the better one for me with a low purring good and an as discreet as blissful saxophone!),Further The Sky.
Mr Wonderfull, other " bonus track" is also a littlebluesy.
Some sounds hammond comings to enrich the harmonies and reminiscences of BAD ENGLISHdo themselves to hear on the excellent oneShadows Of Love.
spoken verse on Peace Of Mind reminded me the voice ofRobbie WILLIAMS, a likable title as all.
The moreRock Rough & Tumble ,Sweet Rhode Island Redare entrainants and inspired.
An unbelievable number of musicians participated in this opus, so important that the congratulations do themselves general!
John WAITE collaborated, writing to the production (perfect) with the guitarist / composerKyle COOK(MATCHBOX TWENTY ).
John WAITEpossesses a grain of always so pleasant voice and the pleasure is at the appointment.
A good album, for the fans of the artist and of theRock "pépère"!
