LOOKING BACK OVER 2022, AND LOOKING FORWARD TO 2023…

Welcome to the Twelfth Night website, where we are delighted to say that after an extended summer break – we are back with news of yet more exciting releases, starting this September with the updated 2022 release of Fact And Fiction. More details here.

Having drawn breath after what can only be described as a hectic start to 2022, and before looking forward to the next and beyond, here are some of the highlights of the first half of 2022.

The year began on a high with the release of Clive’s Tales From A Misspent Youth – Vol I album. Two CDs of progressive rock classics reworked by Clive in a classical style. Not only has it been well-received, but also commercially successful. Read more here.

In March we were able to send out copies of the Smiling At Grief – Revisited LP which had been in manufacture since the previous September. The remixed tracks received several 5* reviews, mostly notably in PROG magazine, and the whole package including the heavyweight white vinyl, praised highly. Although the limited edition of 500 white copies has now sold out, we are, at the specific request of our distributors, pressing up some more! These will be as before but on RED vinyl and will be available before Christmas. The LP was quickly followed by the CD and download versions, which both include lots more tracks. See here.

We were also able to complete our series of reissues of the ‘Archive Releases’ by issuing Midsummer’s Night Dream and Night Vision. Both these albums along with Entropy, Flashbacks, and Corner Of The World are still available. More details here.

If that wasn’t enough… the 2002 version of Live At The Target CD was released in April. As with Live And Let Live last year and now Fact and Fiction, these are updated versions of the Definitive Edition albums originally released through Festival / F2 Music between 2009 and 2013.  As those versions have now completely sold out, we decided to repress them on our own label to keep them available in physical form.

And looking forward… Clive’s new classical album Music That Is Not For Piano And Orchestra should be available this Autumn, with Tales From A Misspent Youth – Vol II following in the New Year. Talking of which… 2023 sees some more notable anniversaries as sadly it is 30 years since Geoff passed away, but on a happier note 40 years since our second appearance at the Reading Festival and Geoff’s farewell gigs at the Marquee in the November of 1983. We are planning to commemorate all these occasions with some special releases/re-releases… and one of our tracks is featuring on a Steven Wilson curated compilation due for release in February 2023.
