Hey Brother, evil is out tonight The Lords of Chaos willing you to fight They bestow on you a special right To celebrate the dying of the light The dying of the light … Hey Brother, where do you fit on the scene? You go right, you go left, but never in-between You sing the lone wolf’s refrain While you wallow in purgatory pain Purgatory pain … Hey Brother, the future is at your command Grab the throne, you can reach it with your hands You can rise again, but you need to see You are your own worst enemy Your own worst enemy …

My secret is out Brought to you by satellite When the stars align I’ll leave this place behind My orbit is mine Don’t belong to king nor crown When the world goes insane A toast from Charles’ Wain Discharge me Can’t hold me down Disown me My orbit is mine When the man comes around To bring the hammer down I won’t pay no mind My orbit is mine Discharge me To the beginning of time Disown me My orbit is mine

The night has come, but not too soon Faint is the light Shooting stars, like fireflies Highways in the night Always off balance on solid ground So, I took a leap, neither safe nor sound But what the hell was I to do? Hopeful dreams lull my fright Inhale a different dawn I see all so clearly now Behold the mighty pawns Whose faces are marred by dust and sweat Whose lives are lived with few regrets What the hell are they to do? So, you thought that you knew me? So, you thought you could cut me down to size? So, you thought you could fool me? To be a pawn in your game of lies So, you thought you could school me? So, you thought you could catch me by surprise? So, you thought you could groom me? To be a prop in your house of lies (Wolfnaut part III)
4.
You say no sane man should ignore The reaper knocking at the door Just run and bang on heaven’s door I’ll stay down here and count the final score Can’t escape it The eternal void Can’t delay it Crash your asteroid You claim there’s a path to the other side So, you sit and wait for your gilded ride I’ll grab the wheel when your worlds collide And take you to the place your good lord died Can’t change it The eternal void Can’t escape it Crash your asteroid

Arrows 04:41
Are you a shining star? Are you running off to far? I remember when you were here You were running to face your fear Like an arrow that hits the tree Like a magnet you drew me near Did you ease the pain inside? Did it fuel your aimless ride? Did the empty world close in? Or did it drain you from within? Like the arrow you had the speed Like the newborn you had the need Did you reach your final shore? Or did you ship out to drift once more? I remember you said you’d stay But the storms blew up again Like arrows, a shooting star Like arrows the way we are

G.T.R. 03:00
You better get your motor running You better pray your blades are turning We’re coming hard, we’re coming fast In these barren badlands dreams will never last You had the watch, we had the time You’re out of rope, end of the line We tied the noose, we broke your spine Burning down the temples you left behind You better grab the rope while it’s swinging You better untie the knot while you’re floating Run, heathen, run, close to the sun Running from the blast of my almighty gun You had the watch, we had the time You’re out of rope, end of the line We tied the noose, we broke your spine Tearing down the bridges you left behind
7.
The streets were dark with something more than night A strange sensation, urging me to fight I was outnumbered, I was outgunned Had to forge a silver bullet, to get the job done Something more than night The seas were rough with something more than wind A thousand bad preachers, drowning us in sin If my days are numbered, defenses overrun I’ll be back to haunt you, one by one by one Something more than night The clock is ticking, hold on tight We’re heading into something more than night The dam is breaking, life rafts out About to face something more than night The sky was red with something more than sun Four evil horsemen, going on the run Someone beat them to it, the rot is so deep We need a million-dollar pillow to sleep the big sleep Something more than night …
8.
My demons are plenty, they ship in crates In all shapes and colors, and in a fragile state On their journey through time, they fight and bleed Who will be the first, to plant the seed? When I open the crates, I hear them cry and moan I can never tell, have they come to slay? To conquer my brain To burn my soul To crush my spirit To feast on my bones Who will prevail? Will they prevail? Will I prevail? I must prevail! One is after the money, two only come for the show But three are always ready, and they go, cat, go … The battle is bloody, painfully slow Casualties abound, freak battleground What turned them against me, I will never know My closet is brimful of angry ghosts A war of attrition It will never end A war of deception A toxic blend Who will prevail? Will they prevail? Will I prevail? I must prevail!

Every night felt bright as day I couldn’t stay I couldn’t stay Every drug felt right as rain I couldn’t stay I couldn’t stay No, I couldn’t stay Out of my way! Every rock felt brittle as clay I couldn’t stay I couldn’t stay Every drink felt dry as bone I couldn’t stay I couldn’t stay No, I couldn’t stay Out of my way! As I watch the last bright rays of the sun Into darkness I fly, I come undone On my journey I pass the God of the sky He lost his thunder and found a good place to die In the distance I see the Lord of light He lost his torch and his nerve and his will to fight As I watch the last bright rays of the sun Into darkness I fly, I come undone (Wolfnaut part II)

about

Praise for Wolfnaut:
"An infectious blend of catchy songcraft and stoner riff-madness! Wolfnaut will make you break out your air guitar, then tuck you inn for sweet cosmic dreams."

Wolfnaut's fourth album, "Return of the Asteroid", follows hot on the heels of the critically acclaimed "III", the album that finally brought the Norwegian trio's blend of catchy tunes and heavy stoner riffs to a larger international audience. The success of "III" secured the band a deal with legendary Ripple Music in the US.

"Return of the Asteroid" is the slightly darker cousin of "III". Wolfnaut's penchant for writing catchy rockers is still very much alive and well, but "Return of the Asteroid" also sees the band developing their love for longer and doomier songs. The album also introduces a first for the band: A ballad!

For CDs and limitied edtion vinyl editions of "Return of the Asteroid", please head over to the Ripple Bandcamp: ripplemusic.bandcamp.com/album/return-of-the-asteroid

The lossless downloadable version of the album/songs (FLAC, ALAC, WAV or AIFF) are in high-resolution audio (24 bit/48 kHz).

about

Wolfnaut Norway

Forged in the sounds of early hard rock and metal, and the desert rock scene that exploded in the mid-1990s, WOLFNAUT (formerly known as Wolfgang) has made it a quest to investigate the musical landscapes between hooky twin-guitar based songs, and sludgy and doomy stoner rock. Hailing from the deep forests of Elverum, Norway, Wolfnaut has played to headbanging audiences from Trondheim to Duisburg. ... more
