Once is not custom I will comment on an album in MP3 received in promotion…
evident Steps of not to have under the hand that his mouse and the envelope PC…pas, any infos on the titles, or the length of the album…Bref I feel not very comfortable…

To be frank, I unhook of VIRGIN STEELE in 1999 after The House Of Atreus Vol 1…A very good album but with too many interludes that have me Ruined listens it! Suddenly I had not kept it!

Eleven years that I had not listened the group of David De FEIS that holds of an iron hand destined it group, and this since 1981! Respect! For that one likes or not, I never listened an album of the group that left me on a bad impression!

I expected therefore to the Speed Heavy Metal epic and convoluted one and I begin the listens first titre…une ballad…By The Hammer Of Zeus…
I recognize immediately the key VIRGIN STEELE, and after two listen I plunge back in the pleasure of a composition all in feeling and in fineness.
The remainder of the album shows a David DEFEIS that places a song more "soft" and calm than never! As if the compositions wanted themselves put, some kept, even on quick passages…

Finish the rhythmic Heavy Metal forward that give the rhythm! The guitars, safe to certain moments, are just there in support of the song and mélodies…surprenant! Good there are anyway some titles that are Heavy I grant it to you!

at the end of three listen I tame this The Black Light Bacchanalia, but I remain anyway on my end, jammed between softness and the talkative well being of most of the titles and not frustration more to shudder on of the flown away lyric on rhythmic of fire!

Then friends of the beautiful one, clean and piano, this album will please you, on the other hand fans of Heavy Métal epic, if enthusiasm and the rhythmic ones are part of your expectations, then listen before buying!

This albums is epic in his writing, but sometimes closer of the progressive Metal than of the Heavy Metal !

AS leaves the ballads By The Hammer Of Zeus and Torture’s Of The Damned, I hung on the more Heavy To Crown Them With Halos Part 1 & 2 and one or two others entitle (less practical to spot in MP3…), the remainder is very well, but the length of the album (I possess the version with 3 bonus) prevents me a sustained and tired concentration…
The fans some will have really for their money and this time no useless interludes!

AS to note that there is the version CD normal, the version collector in digipack CD + CD bonus with three unpublished ones (different envelope) and the version vinyl, a Box 3 vinyls (the titles divide up on the 3) to the different envelopes + post, self-adhesive, book on VIRGIN STEELE manuscript by David and postal card….
