Since its return in January 2008 and its service to the second edition of the Paris Metal France Festival, BLASPHEME n' had of cease to be pointed out. The many concerts which the group gave during the three years which come from s' to run out as well as the exit, 26 years after its last vinyl effort, d' a new noticed album - Briser Le Silence (2010), chronicle here even - shows at which point the quartet still has the faith. Or, rather, how much the group found this faith which was well shaken after the bérézina of 1985/86.

BLASPHEME cost thus this evening to greet crowd. Though… A room like the Nouveau Casino, located in full heart of Paris, can accomodate only three hundred people approximately. And this evening, a little less than two hundreds came, all confused generations. The evening, as we will see it was placed under the sign of the emotion.

Lensois of SPIRIT, old friends of Philippe GUADAGNINO, were invited to open this concert. If the quartet seems to have, in spite of the first two pieces returns inside, some difficulties of putting itself in the bath, each one releases itself as of the fourth title. Is that due to the fact that Thierry TRIPENNE (song, guitar) and its band decided to start by pieces that the public does not know, those intended for its future album? Undoubtedly, but how much know already Effacer Qui Je Suis, its promising first album? Is this the trac? Perhaps, but what imports, because the continuation will make watch of a thorough and square formation, each one moving as much as possible occupying scenic space and offering a dynamic spectacle, all with the length of which the communication with the public will be the watchword. Communication? To smile and environment good child, when the singer introduces his fellow travellers, and has fun, broad smile with the lips, to compare the returns of BLASPHEME or VULCAIN with that of SPIRIT which have existed for 15 years, and returns this evening in its original form… (Many) the new pieces that SPIRIT present are impressed of METALLICA and d'IRON MAIDEN, and adopt an orientation openly politicized and are marked by the current problems of the company (Jérusalem at the heavy and determined rate/rhythm that the public accompanies and punctuates with " Hey! " , or l' homage to Nelson MANDELA out of Johannesburg).
SPIRIT, once released, can incontestably how occupy a scene and offers a service more than sympatic which gives desire for re-examining the group live.

Setlist SPIRIT : Gori, Fantômes, Nouvel Ordre, Relations Obscures, Solitude, Jérusalem, Johannesburg, Retour A La Life, Hommes Ou Diables

a glance in the room makes it possible to see that there are beautiful people which moved to support BLASPHEME. One crosses, among d' others, here HEMORAGY, there HURLEMENT … the “ex-Parisian” quartet (its members live today in North, in the Vendée and the Dordogne) enters on scene on a symphonic intro and attacks with The Crow, one of the emblematic songs of Briser Le Silence, its last album which will be, this evening, largely represented. The public reacts as of the first notes from traditional the Désir De Vampyr before Marc does not launch out in one of its many exchanges with the public, informing him of the pleasure of being present this evening in Paris (what will be visible in l' attitude of Philippe throughout the show and, for d' other reasons, Pierre on second half), where the group has not played for three years. The continuation will be an alternation of pieces resulting from the second album and the last, until Pierre dedicates, the voice full with emotion, the title following to his/her mother, buried the following day. It is thus calmly and respectfully that the public accomodates Vivre Libre.
Thereafter, BLASPHEME inserts the accelerator, for the greatest pleasure of the public. Briser Le Silence and its sharpened guitars and “pop” rates/rhythms more precedes Au Nom Des Morts and very removed Carpe Diem, lifestyle which preaches today Marc. Then the vocalist introduces Territoire des Hommes while making sing the public. There still, the communication is frequent and pleasant, Marc, little smiling the remainder of the evening (except scene) posting a smile of satisfaction, speaking about the desire of eternity of the men (Homme Eternel) and regulating its accounts with criticisms last (“I sing also acute only before… one cannot more treat me of xxxx” before introducing Erreur De Meurs . The set concluded by De L’Ombre A La Lumière, at the conclusion Marc introduces the musicians, and makes the thanks of use to the engineering team before playing the first piece of the evening resulting from its first album, Vengeance Barbare. BLASPHEME has then left a few short moments the scene, and returns for final always resulting from its beginnings with Magie Noire “steps exploited for 25 years” as recalled by Pierre, very near to the public second half from the concert, and essential the Jehovah. Then, whereas the first measurements of Memoriesresound, a screen falls on the backdrop and the musicians are turned over, looking at, with the public, a diaporama projected in memory of Dominique FLAMET, the historical manager of BLASPHEME deceased now two years ago. The man made so much for the group which BLASPHEME could to only return him this homage, which goes even beyond since the battery on which Aldrick played belonged to the manager.

Setllist BLASPHEME : The Crow, Désir De Vampyr, Seul, Cœur D’Enfant, Orgie Romaine, Vivre Libre, Briser Le Silence, Au Nom Des Morts, Carpe Diem, Territoire Des Hommes, Homme Eternel, Qui Suis-Je ?, Erreur De Meurs, De L’Ombre A La Lumière, Vengeance Barbare. Recall: Magie Noire, Jehovah, Memories.

If the evening were pleasant and dynamic, full with emotion and accompanied by the pleasure by the meeting again with a faithful public and discovering the group (even young person knew this evening the words of the oldest titles), there were not many surprises. BLASPHEME, certainly moved and disturbed by certain events, delivered a professional and square set without managing to make a really memorable concert of it. But one did not see twice a moment as intense as that which the group had been able to offer (and receive) on January 13, 2008 to the Loco for its return… All those present this evening there s' in still remember.
