Approximate translation of the review

Formed in 1983 or 1984 according to the biographies (bam! the blow of old one nonetheless!!!) by the legendary American drummer Carmine APPICE, KING KOBRA will have as early as 1985 brand the spirits with his music and his first album Ready To Strike.
I do not know for the hour this first essay, that seems, considering the various chronicles that I read, a success.
Commented one on equally in these pages by Axeldobby, the second opus of KING KOBRA, to knowledge Thrill Of A Lifetime suits perfectly to my ears and offers titles extremely mélodiques.
The fans of the group will be therefore delight to learn that the group is return in this year 2011, after having gone out King Kobra III in 1988 and Hollywood Trash in 2001 with a beautiful album to promote.
I do not know not more the two quoted albums to the instant!
Note that the original team met again here with anyway an absent one of marks, the singer Mark FREE, become since Marcie FREE.
And to replace it, another veteran of the Hard-Rock to rocky voice takes the microphone, in this case Paul SHORTINO, done more inspire than never!
I must acknowledge to have to doubt his presence on this return of KING KOBRA buses I am not a big fan of ROUGH CUTT and did not like its benefits with QUIET RIOT !
But there, no doubt, the singer arrives not only to make to forget Mark FREE but what's more book a fantastic benefit and mélodique!
rediscover You to its sides, besides Carmine APPICE already quoted, David Michael PHILIPS and Mick SWEDA to the guitars, Johnny ROD to the low one.
Steps of keyboards (an organ suspicion "Hammond" on Midnight Woman !) on this temperately entitled album of the name of the group and 12 compositions without concession proposing a Hard-Rock powerful one, tinged 70', lorgnant often towards the Hard-US !
The guitars are muscular without forgetting the melodies, the rhythmic one is sealed and the lines of song and refrains are succeeded.
For my party, the two ballads Crying Turns To Rain and Fade Away that arrive at the end of album (10 and 12th beach) are maybe the only weak point of the album even if they leave themselves to appreciate!
Brief an excellent opus for this as unexpected as unhoped for return!
The production and the mixage are at the top and do this album one of the already numerous successes of this beginning of year 2011!

PS: You will find equally 2 compilations (The Lost Years 1999, Number One 2005 and a live Thrill Of a Live 1986) in the ferries!

City : Bretagne	Cet album me rappelle "III" sorti en 1988, d'ailleurs Paul Shortino se rapproche merveilleusement de Johnny Edwards. City : Nimes	C'est pas du lion que le King a bouffé mais tous les animaux sauvages de la savane.Ce disque est une tuerie, je suis d'accord avec toi sur le fait qu'à la fin du cd on perd un peu d'intensité faute aux 2 ballades un peu légères mais pour le reste c'est du tout bon avec un Shortino en grande forme. 	juste écouté des extraits pour l'instant en attendant la sortie pour l'acheter, pour moi ça sonne résolument 80's, pour mon gd plaisir. Paul Shortino est LE remplacement de choix (ils se connaissent depuis longtemps dans le groupe , rappelez vous son 1er album solo 'back on track' en 1993 avec qui il avait collaboré avec quelques ex King Kobra ); concernant les compil', 'the lost years' et 'number one' sont les memes, juste le packaging change; ce sont des démos en fait incluant notamment quelques titres avec Marq Torien de Bulletboys au chant, qui avait fait la jonction dans le groupe entre le dépoart de Mark Free et l'arrivée de Johnny Edwards (ex-Northrup), aux alentours de fin 1986 /1987. 'thrill of a live' , me semble que c'est un bootleg. pour les albums du groupe, 'ready to strike', THE classique, 'thrill of a lifetime' pour ceux qui préferent un King Kobra plus FM, 'III' de 1988 avec un line up remanié mais de qualité et une musique proche du 'ready to strike' avec la couleur de la fin des années 80 en sus; seule déception pour ma part, le retour de 2001 avec Kelly Keeling au chant (ex Baton Rouge), avec des compos manquant véritablement d'accroche. City : Nimes	J'attends avec impatience ce nouveau cd, sache Remy que le 1er album est un must en son genre et je te conseille vivement de rattrapper ton retard.
